India Trip, Day 23: practice

November 5 (Mon) - Day 23:  paint

I recently have been having those intuitions again that Alok might come early and give a surprise.  He said he's arriving on the 21st, but just like I sensed his surprise trip to Bangkok after engagement, my gut feeling says he might come earlier.  No one else at home feels this way.  May be I'm just going nuts staying away from him so long.  Keeping myself occupied here somehow.

Living room was being painted at the right time today; partly for Diwali, partly for devar's wedding.  I thought of posing a little too.  Also practicing wearing saree once in a while.  Want to be able to wear it myself quickly during the wedding instead of depending on people to help me.  Few days before my marriage two years back, I remember one mamiji advised me, "don't say you don't know how to do something.  try to learn it.  always try to be independent."

And practicing is the key, my neighbor bhabhi reminded me yesterday.

Lingo:
mamiji: my mom's brother's wife
bhabhi: brother's wife...also, when you are not related to a married woman, you can safely address her as 'bhabhi'
