Gratitude Scavenger Hunt, Happiness and Growth Mindset Printable, Self-Esteem Journal Prompts

In March 2020 when Covid-19 spread extensively, when my kids moved to remote learning, and staying indoors and less socialization started getting frustrating, we started feeling a sense of negativity around us. For that reason, I created these positivity worksheets for my kids to help build positive self-esteem, reflect on feelings of happiness, and practice gratitude.

■ Journaling
Writing about our feelings, what makes us happy, what we are thankful for, and how we feel about ourselves is great for self-expression, and for recording our memories.

"The advantages of journaling range from helping you reduce stress to propelling you forward in your pursuit of personal and academic growth." (usa.edu)

■ Gratitude
Gratitude is the expression of appreciation for what one has, the quality of being thankful. Practicing gratitude can be a game-changer.

"Living your life with gratitude helps you notice the little wins." (mindful.org)

■ Self-Esteem
Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. Building self-esteem is rewarding.

"We want our children to develop skills that will enable them to be successful, but just as important is the confidence to use those skills and the self-esteem they’ll need to make good decisions." (childmind.org)

■ Happiness
Writing about what makes us happy, no matter how small, helps us notice and savor life's pleasures.

"How to be happy: Practice, practice, practice." (mayoclinic.org)

I hope you find these useful, not just for your kids but for yourself too. Because I also found them helpful to put my thoughts and feelings on paper. Practicing self-care, self-esteem, gratitude, positivity, and happiness is just as important for me as a person, as it is for my kids.

Xoxo,
Nisha
